The first edition of the HIVE LIVE event on Thursday 18 November was succesfull. HIVE LIVE is an inspiring, annual event with the aim of taking visitors into the future of mobility. The latest developments and knowledge regarding smart and sustainable mobility are shared.
This year the theme was ‘The power of data’. Mobility data is available everywhere and plays an important role in the mobility transition. Even better application of data in mobility creates a large amount of information, making it increasingly possible, especially with current technological developments, to make a journey as cheaply, sustainably, quickly and efficiently as possible, depending on individual preferences.
Artificial Intelligence
Marelle van Beerschoten, expert in the field of digital transformation, took viewers along in a varied and interactive program. Jim Stolze gave an inspiring keynote about the power of data and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Jim is an author, entrepreneur and founder of TEDx Amsterdam. He talked about the current developments and applications of AI. He also explained the possibilities that AI offers organizations and society.
Data-driven mobility solutions
In addition, various mobility experts joined us to share concrete cases of data and mobility. Michel van der Mark of Qbuzz, for example, presented how their buses are, as it were, computers on wheels. The data that these buses collect helps to optimize the maintenance of buses and the timetable in a smart and sustainable way. Speakers from the province of Groningen, robotTUNER and Drone Delivery Services gave an insight into how they are jointly testing autonomous transport within Hive.Mobility. Hilde Portena also talked about the Arriva pilots around Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and Aline Klingenberg from the University of Groningen joined to explain the legal and ethical aspects of the use of data.
